Erasing Symbols of the Fallen Regime in the Municipal Stadium
A civil initiative to remove the visual symbols of the fallen regime and instill a new national spirit in one of the most prominent public facilities.
As part of its efforts to enhance community awareness and restore public spaces, Hand in Hand Association, on April 16, 2025, implemented a civil initiative in which a number of volunteers participated, with the aim of erasing the visual landmarks associated with the previous regime from one of the public stadiums.
This initiative came as a symbolic step that reflects the local community's desire to renew the visual identity of cities, and replace symbols of oppression with symbols that reflect national values and popular belonging.
The activities included painting walls, removing old logos, and replacing them with drawings that express hope, change, and belonging, in an interactive volunteer environment.
This initiative reflects our belief that liberating public space from repressive symbols is part of building a new collective memory that enhances belonging and expresses the dignity and aspirations of people.
